The same view in March 2006, a quarter of a century
or so later. Most of the westbound platform part of station building,
seen at the left of the preceding photo, has been demolished.
The bricked up large arch on the right, was the portal to the
overhead access walkway between the platforms.

The station building. Both of the buildings here were
part of the station. The right hand building still has the board
space in situ where the station name was. The central door arch
of the left hand building was the station entrance. The bookshop
part was a shop even when the station was open.
